The movies seemed to be a safe haven to sit and watch 90 minutes of uninterrupted entertainment, with a few trailers at the beginning being the sole advertisement. But now, instead of “Please silence your cell phones”, it’s become “Please silence your cell phones, brought to you by Alltel, your world delivered.” Honestly, I can’t take it anymore.

In addition, I go to school or I sit at home and sex, beer, condoms, and Smiling Bob are constantly barraging my ears every second. Go to school, you are told, “Take the pill”, “Use a condom”, “Practice safe sex”. Even on Oprah the other day, she had two freshmen on there who wanted to have sex and they were trying to talk them out of it. Even though they did convince them not to, the question shouldn’t even be present.

And if it couldn’t get worse, when subliminal ads, and sexual connotation meet, I want to throw my TV out into the yard. Even such ads as Burger King have transformed into “The King” talking about how he likes square butts, while promoting a kids meal. Then Hardees comes on with just a lady eating a huge burger. No big deal right? Wrong. She continues to drip it down her graciously long legs and eat in a very seductive style. Baskin-Robbins should go ahead and come on and have a girl get ice cream dribble all over herself. Think about it.

What’s the point of this? I am tired of being bombarded with ads and subliminal messages to make me act in a certain manner when all I want sometimes is to be left alone.

She was named cyber woman of the month, or something to that effect, right before she started as a coach.

Samuel Sosa has been reunited with his mother, unharmed, after his hourlong transit odyssey Monday.

Griselda Sosa says her son got away from her around 7:40 a.m. while she got coffee near an elevated station on the No. 1 line in the northernmost part of Manhattan. The boy apparently sprinted up the station’s stairs, squeezed under a turnstile and boarded a southbound train before she could stop him.

Police quickly put out an alert, but Sammy made it to the end of the line before transit workers spotted him around 8:40 a.m.

His mother calls authorities’ response “good and fast.”

Okay, I know this might sound a little wild, but she should’ve let him go. Seriously, because if he sees what happens at night in New York, he’ll be back home by midnight and never leave until he’s 35. We need to stop scaring our kids. The numbers are actually very minimal that anything will happen to you at any given time. New York is actually in the 200′s of the most dangerous, missing the #1 spot by well, about 200.
